Head Coach

Norm Bunch

Norm is a certified level 4 USA hockey coach, who is dedicated in developing hockey players and teams. He has had over 17 years of head coaching experience at the AAA, High School, and travel level. Norm has had many accomplishments in coaching. In 2013 his 16u team won the T1EHL Midget AAA American Division playoffs. He has had several MAHA state tournament appearances. In 2010, his team won the Tier II MAHA State Tournament and was the finalist in the USA Hockey National Tournament. His teams have won the Regional Silver Stick tournament and have been the finalist in the International Silver Sticks. His playing experiences range from playing at Eastern Michigan University Eagles ACHA Division 1, Michigan Nationals Junior A in the NAHL, and AAA hockey.

Assistant Coach

Brian Connell

Brian is a Level 4 certified USA Hockey Coach and has been coaching youth hockey for 9 years at various levels from mites through pee-wee’s both as an assistant coach and head coach. Brian's coaching style is dedicated to developing hockey players by focusing on fundamentals, skill development and working hard. Brian played travel and AAA hockey as a youth.

Danny Fardig

Danny is entering his first year of coaching after finishing his playing career at the University of Michigan in 2009. During his playing career, he had two years of experience in the Victory Honda program during the span of 2000-2003. After the midget major year, Danny moved to the US NTDP and played two years in Ann Arbor under coach John Hynes and Ron Rolston. During his time at the USNTDP, Danny played in 2 international tournaments and had the opportunity to travel and play against world class competition in Finland and Switzerland. Danny finished his playing career after four years at the University of Michigan and won a CCHA championship along with two GLI tournament titles. 

Assistant Coach

Mark Mitera

Mark has over ten years of highly competitive playing experience. He joined the US National Team Development Program in 2003, where he played two seasons and won a gold medal at the IIHF u18 World Championships in 2005. Mark also represented the United States at the u20 World Junior Championships in 2006. He then went on to have a successful college career at the University of Michigan, where he won Inside College Hockey's Defenseman of the Year award during his Junior Year. Mark earned his degree from Michigan while being the Captain of the hockey team his senior year. Drafted 19th overall in the NHL draft by the Anaheim Ducks in 2006, Mark played 4 seasons in the American Hockey League after graduating from Michigan. He also won the Kelly Cup in the ECHL during his final playing year. Along with coach Dan Fardig, Mark spent his summers while attending Michigan running Red Berenson's hockey camps, as well as youth camps through USA hockey. This will be Mark's first year joining the Victory Honda Hockey Association, and he is looking forward to working with the defensemen and passing along his knowledge and passion for the game to the players.  ​
