Mark is a certified level 4 USA hockey coach, who is motivated to pass along his knowledge and passion for hockey to the next generation of players. As a coach, his goal is to instill the importance of hard work, character, and dedication both on and off the ice. He has over ten years of highly competitive playing experience. He joined the US National Team Development Program in 2003, where he played two seasons and won a gold medal at the IIHF u18 World Championships in 2005. Mark also represented the United States at the u20 World Junior Championships in 2006. He then went on to have a successful college career at the University of Michigan, where he won Inside College Hockey's Defenseman of the Year award during his Junior Year. Mark earned his degree from Michigan while being the Captain of the hockey team his senior year. Drafted 19th overall in the NHL draft by the Anaheim Ducks in 2006, Mark played 4 seasons in the American Hockey League after graduating from Michigan. He also won the Kelly Cup in the ECHL during his final playing year. Mark spent his summers while attending Michigan running Red Berenson's hockey camps, as well as youth camps through USA hockey.
